Girl, 2, Struck By Car In Sunland

SUNLAND (CBS) — Officials say a young girl, 2 or 3 years of age, was struck by a vehicle in Sunland Thursday afternoon.

The accident was reported at 4:54 p.m. at 8459 W. Fenwick St., near Foothill Boulevard, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The toddler was taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in serious condition, Scott said.

The circumtances of the accident were under investigation.

    Why in the world was a two or three year old out in the street??? More traffic enforcement ain’t a bad idea, but where were the parents? Poor little kid. Too bad somebody wasn’t watching her.

    This just goes to show……children are only as safe if their parents and adult supervision care enough to provide a watchful eye over them.

    It is not Law enforcements job to watch over the job of irresponsible parents!
    Don’t have children if you don’t have the time to care for them….
