Program Offers Support For Senior Caregivers

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Caring for a senior who resists the help? A senior care specialist will visit KCAL 9 Studios to share some tips to ease some of the stress of caregivers.

Approximately 1 million homes in Los Angeles and Orange counties care for a senior – many of whom are resistant to care.

The Home Instead Senior Care office has launched a new, multimedia family caregiver support program called “Caring For Your Parents: Education for the Family Caregiver.”

The program offers several free online resources, including educational videos, workbooks, a stress meter and other tools to help families provide the best care possible for their aging loved one.

Yes, is that not convenient to go and VISIT our elderly parents,….maybe when that man was in diapers, his mom should have left him poopy, because she wanted to enjoy him and just visit…..grow upo. Take care of your parents.

ZIChristie…I have to believe that you have never had to actually provide a high level of care to your parent. There is nothing wrong with getting some assistance. The role reversal that comes from a child taking care of their parent is stressful for the parent and adult child alike.
