BEVERLY HILLS (AP) — Pat Boone and blogger Andrew Breitbart praised grassroots politics during a tea party rally in Beverly Hills.
There were about a dozen speakers Sunday who spoke on topics ranging from race to religion to immigration. The Los Angeles Times says the speakers also criticized the Obama administration, decried socialism and attacked the mainstream media.
Alana Stewart was in the audience, saying there were many “closeted conservatives” in Hollywood who were afraid to speak out for fear of industry retaliation.
The Bruin Republicans, a UCLA student organization, had a Ronald Reagan cardboard cutout next to its fundraising booth.
