Boy, 16, Wounded In NoHo OIS

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Officials say a suspect who pointed a handgun at two Los Angeles police department officers in North Hollywood Monday evening was shot by at least one of the officers.

The suspect's condition is not known.

The suspect is reportedly 16-years-old.

No officers were injured in the incident.

The incident occured just after 6:30 near Saticoy Street and Morella Avenue, according to police.

Two police officers "attempted to stop the suspect and speak with him," Los Angeles police Lt. Andrew Neiman told reporters.

Neighbors said they heard several shots fired.

Police were at the scene examining a gun they said belonged to the suspect.

The names of the suspect and the two officers were not made available.
