PICO RIVERA (AP) — Authorities say a Metrolink commuter train has struck and killed a man walking a bicycle across tracks in Pico Rivera.
City News Service says the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that the death occurred at 9:20 a.m. Thursday when the man apparently went around lowered and flashing rail crossing arms.
Metrolink spokeswoman Angie Starr says buses were being brought in to take the 150 passengers aboard the Riverside-to-Los Angeles train to their destinations.
