Ontario Priest Accused Of Sexual Abuse

ONTARIO, Calif. (AP) — A priest at an Ontario Catholic church has been accused of sexually abusing two boys within the past two years.

The Diocese of San Bernardino over the weekend told parishioners at four churches where the Rev. Alex Castillo had served of the allegations. Diocesan spokesman John Andrews told the Riverside Press-Enterprise that Castillo was removed from duty as an active priest in June. Castillo maintains his innocence.

Andrews declined to say how Castillo met the boys or whether they or their parents are current or former parishioners at Our Lady of Guadalupe where Castillo was pastor.

Ontario police couldn’t confirm if they are investigating Castillo.

I find this hard to believe. A male priest, a man of god, commiting sexual crimes against young boys……, this is preposterous, who’s ever heard of such a thing.

Vudu – you’ve had your head in the sand. Catholic Priests are men, subject to the same temptation as others not ‘of the cloth’. Besides, where have you been the past few years? Unfortunately, is becoming the norm. When people hear of a priest doing horrible things to children, the comment now is ‘Yeah? So what else is new?’

Whether this is true or not, Catholics shouldn’t criticize the religion. There are thousands and thousands of priests and some of them can be bad apples. Leaders of other churches have similar controversies too. They are just not sensationalized like the catholic priests, since they expect more from them because of their training and celibacy.

Go to google and search “pastor molest” rabbi molest, and “imam molest” “monk molest” and you’ll see that they all have many molestation cases too.

That church is 5 min away from my home, now in days we can’t even trust a priest?

you can’t but i can and you obviously do not go to that church very often otherwise you would know that the father alex is innocent

Here we go again. Yeap, all these boys all over the worrld are making it all up.
We already know that’s not true.. Do they really think they can hide this from GOD when it’s all over? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. These men need to be in jail just like anyone else who commits a horrible crime. STORP THIS COVERING UP FOR THEM. NOW!

I visited with Father Alex today since he is a good family friend and I honestly believe he is innocent. Not every man is always guilty.
