Assembly Members, Staff Salaries Posted Online

LOS ANGELES (KCAL 9) — The Assembly Rules Committee has posted the salaries of Assemblymembers, officers and employees of the California State Assembly online in the wake of the city of Bell's salary scandal.

According to the information posted online, most Assembly members make $95,291. The assemblyman with the highest salary is Speaker John A. Perez (D-Los Angeles) at $109,584, followed by Majority Leader Charles M. Calderon (D-Montebello) and Assemblywoman Connie Conway (R-Tulare), who both make $102,437.

There has been an increase in requests for the salaries of public officials since exorbitant salaries were revealed in the tiny city of Bell. Bell's city manager Robert Rizzo made $787,637 a year, while his assistant earned $376,288. The city's police chief, Randy Adams, was paid $457,000.
