OOZEFEST
Third and Bush Parking Lot
Santa Ana, CA

Just how serious is the love for cheese, you might want to ask the people at Foodbeast as they have literally curated a festival devoted entirely to cheese. Assembling some of the most inventive eateries in Southern California, the task was to develop a dish that pays homage to the gooey goodness and flexes a bit of insanity at the same time. The challenge was met with some glorious offerings like the Churro sandwich from La Sriracha Racha, boasting Mexican spicy Racha cheesecake ice cream. Another contender for best is show is from the Grilled Cheese Truck naturally, combining smoked BBQ pork and Mac N Cheese into a grilled cheese format. Your ticket gets you unlimited tastings for food and drink, so the real winner actually is the ticketholder. Go. Eat!

The third annual installment of the Funny Or Die comedic caravan pulls up the brakes in Irvine this weekend with headlining appearances from both Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer. Taking this comedy thing particularly serious, the roster for Oddball is stacked with some 25 comedians making this the Coachella for funny. With veterans like Dave Attell, Jeff Ross, and Donnell Rawlings contrasting comedy's next generation like Michael Che, Tim Minchin, and Anthony Jeselnik, this is very much a hot ticket. Expect lots of beer, lots of F-bombs, and some of Bridget Everett's sideboob.
