Luminaries include lifelong Santa Monica Michael McMillen, award-winning artist Eileen Cowin, John Humble, David MacDonald and choreographer Cynthia Ling Lee. It's an ongoing photo tribute to Cesar Chavez. Running through April 28, the exhibit features 19 large prints through the lenses of photojournalist Victor Aleman. Aleman, who worked with Chavez for 10 years, has dedicated the exhibit to the late civil rights activist's commitment to workers.

You might want to designate a driver for this one. Wednesday is Brewer's Supper at Chloe's, the ultra-private event space at Golden Road Brewing. 26th Annual LA Modernism Show

It's a three-day soiree featuring more than 60 exhibitors of 20th century fine arts. There will be a broad range of materials (furniture, lighting, textiles, vintage clothing) on hand for display. Thursday is the opening party and plenty of cocktails, food and music will be on tap to toast the festivities.

National Children's Chorus — "I've Got Rhythm" Benefit Concert

Hear the choir sing during an evening of music courtesy of the National Children's Chorus. The little ones will perform jazz and channel their inner George Gershwin. All proceeds go toward benefiting the chorus' educational curriculum. Tickets are $175 and the address will be provided once the guest is confirmed.

Playworks, a nonprofit organization that provides schools play and physical activity, is holding a day of service at the Aspire Juanita Tate Elementary Academy. It'll be a morning of kickball games, carnival activities, music and food. Vons, Panera and Jarritos are providing the food and the UCLA Spirit Squad plus some of the Laker girls will be on hand to cheer on the teams.

Strap on the fat pants because you're going to need them for this epic food fest on the Eastside. More than 30 eateries from the Silver Lake, Echo Park, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Los Feliz and Atwater Village areas will be congregating for a four-hour tasting of small bites and booze. Attendees include the swanky L&E Oyster Bar, Intelligentsia Coffee, Sqirl Jams, Good Girl Dinette and Diablo Taco.
