One of Los Angeles' most popular movie theater's, the Arclight in Hollywood has been serving denizens of this great city since 2002. Offering comfortable assigned seating, top-notch sound and a sharp picture, it is also known for its great snacks and beautiful setting. Programming here ranges from the latest releases, as well as indie films and some foreign ones as well. What makes this theater that much cooler than the rest? Well, for one, it's right in the heart of Hollywood. But, more so than that, you can actually drink (yes, alcohol) in some of the theaters. In addition, it's right next to the classic Cinerama Dome (the domed movie theater that opened in 1963) and offers fun displays like costumes and more.

Since 2002, Cinespia's has been showing cult classic films at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery making it one of the best outdoor settings in which to see a movie anywhere in the world. In addition to showcasing the best cinema has to offer, they also feature DJ's before the show, a place to picnic and other pre-show activities.

A large movie palace located in the heart of the Westwood Village, The Fox Bruin is known these days more for its fabulous movie premiere's that seem to occur weekly. Operated by Regency Theatres, it's a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (since 1988), and while it may be older that some, the history is what makes this theater great. Movie's played here include mostly first-run flicks.

With 14 auditoriums playing first run flicks, The Grove offers stadium seating, and a ton of restaurants you dine at before you catch your film. If you don't have time, the theater offers the typical candy, popcorn and soda's though. With assigned seating and an always dependable assortment of movies to choose from, the theaters all have big screens, great sound and comfortable seating too.

Playing classic films and contemporary independent films mostly, this small theatre on quaint Montana Ave. is a gem of Los Angeles. Run by The American Cinematheque, which is an independent, non-profit organization "dedicated exclusively to the public presentation of the moving image in all its forms," the Aero Theatre is a 1940 landmark and has been serving up movies like "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and "Man On The Moon" for decades.
