Spring is here, so now is the time to celebrate with some festive St. Patrick's Day cheer. These fun events have all the essentials to make this Irish holiday spectacular for the entire family. Join the party for four-leaf clover decorations, music, children's activities, a sense of community, and plenty of green drinks and foods.

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce presents the 19th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. Join thousands of community members from the surrounding area to celebrate this Irish holiday. Families can expect to have a great time being greeted by public officials and council members. Plan on viewing vintage vehicles, marching bands and cultural dancers. In addition there will be bag pipers, restaurants near by and local stores to visit. Cheer on Hermosa Beach's Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as the march in parade. Dance to music echoing out of floats and wave to animals like the Irish Setters Club as they trot on by.

Families can celebrate St. Patrick's together at the OC Market Place while shopping with local vendors and eating food from community businesses. Children can take pictures with the a leprechaun as he makes appearances at event. Some of the family favorites include music and yummy treats like festive green ice cream and green beverages. Some other highlights include Irish dance performers and informative presentations on the environment.

Children love fairs and they are even more exciting during the holidays. This St. Patrick's Day families can play games, win prizes, eat their favorite snack foods at the Los Angeles County Irish Fair. To add to the fun, this fair includes a Musical Festival so everyone can enjoy Irish music, festive skits and take part in Irish heritage dances. Another highlight of this event is that the petting zoo will open to view and interact with animals.

Families get ready for some St. Patrick's Day Festive fun at LA Live. This marks the third year that Los Angeles and L.A. Live are partnering to celebrate this Irish holiday with lots of activities for youth and sports fans. Highlights of this event include live Irish rock music, Irish ethnic food, guest appearances and cultural dances. To add to the excitement, novelty green beverages will be available. Clippers and Lakers fans can participate in theme exercises too. Another point of interest is the Harley-Davidson Ride to L.A. Live, where bike riders and fans of motorcycles will enjoy seeing these amazing cycles zoom by.

Enjoy a fun-filled day of laughter, food, drinks and activities at LA's farmers' market near the Grove off Fairfax. Like many farmers' markets, there will be plenty to do to keep everyone in the family happy, as well as share in a little "luck." Green beer, corned beef and a list of original Irish treats will be provided. While entry into the event is free, each booth has its own price. Remember of course to come dressed in your best green attire to be in the spirit of the Irish, and maybe you might be able to find yourself that pot of gold hiding somewhere among the crowd.
