Explore Pompeii In LA

Date: Monday, October 13

In 79 A.D. the city of Pompeii was wiped off the map by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The same molten rock that destroyed the city also preserved some of its most precious artifacts. This Monday, you can behold actual artifacts from this ancient city at the California Science Center on State Drive. The exhibit houses over 150 artifacts recovered from Pompeii that illustrate the lavish life-style its citizens enjoyed before their tragic end. The center has items as small as coins, as large as statues and everything in between. Tickets cost $12.75 for kids, $16.75 for seniors and $19.75 for adults. The exhibit is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
