Rock With Flyleaf At The House Of Blues

Date: Tuesday, November 4

Flyleaf is playing The House of Blues this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. This Texas-based rock band started playing all over the U.S. in 2003 before releasing their platinum-selling self-titled debut album "Flyleaf," in 2005. The first single from "Flyleaf" was featured in the video game Rock Band. Their third single, "All Around Me," reached the number 40 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Their latest album "Between The Stars," was released on September 16th and debuted at number 33 on the Billboard 200 Chart. General admission tickets are available online starting at $19.

The Blue Whale on Astronaut E. S. Onizuka Street is a the place to go for dinner this Thursday for anyone who loves great food and great music. This restaurant has a cool "underground" vibe to it where patrons are treated to the smooth sounds of jazz piano almost every night. This Thursday David Ornette Cherry will be performing with the Organic Roots. Cherry is the son of legendary jazz artist Don Cherry and has been performing for audiences around the world since the tender age of 16. Cherry will be on keys, wood flute and melodica with Justo Almario on sax, Don Littleton on drums and Ollie Elder Jr. on bass. The Blue Whale is open from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and there will be a $15 cover charge for the show.

Cap off your weekend by going to see Pippin at The Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard this Sunday. Pippin tells the story of a young prince looking to find his place in the world. The show features lots of high-flying action and extraordinary acrobatics that set it apart from other musicals in the genre. Pippin won four Tony Awards in 2013 has has been hailed as "An eye-popping, jaw-dropping extravaganza," by NY1. The show begins at 1:00 p.m. and tickets are available starting at $66.
