There are many luxe places to stay in Santa Monica, but few compare to The Huntley. Located one block from the beach and Third Street Promenade, The Huntley is a modern mix of the unexpected. "Condé Nast Traveler" even included The Huntley in its Hot List of the World's Top New Hotels. While the high-rise hotel, with 18 floors and 204 luxurious guestrooms, is large in size, it feels very personal and thoughtful. The staff will refer to you by name and often inquire about your outings. Everything about The Huntley's service is impeccable. Additional rewards include surprise spaces, such The Huntley's upscale outdoor room that invites you to relax and be yourself among a fireplace and crisp-colored furnishings.

Sexy suites

Sexy with a splash of simplicity describe the Huntley's rooms, including the Signature Suite Studio. A pop of red brings energy to the space while neutral beach tones exude tranquility. Progressive appointments such as a swivel pole-mounted TV/mirror rotate to your liking. The Wet Room is an exposed area showcasing the tub and vanity. And the shower is also door-free with sleek travertine design. The rooms are remarkably quiet, too. Choose from 15 suites and one Presidential Suite at The Huntley Hotel.

Posh Penthouse dining

The popular, packed Penthouse rooftop restaurant and lounge is a top L.A. spot with both guests and locals. The Penthouse blends airy, draped beach cabanas, with beautiful views and a silver-candlelight bar. The menu is contemporary American Menu with global influences. For dinner, there are a multitude of exceptional items. The Fusilli handmade pasta dish pairs a poached egg, pecorino, water spinach and chile, and is superb. A favorite side is gnocchi with tomato confit and creamed Parmesan. And don't leave without throwing back the cocktail of choice —- the Aperol Smash (muddled grapes and mint, Stolichnaya vodka, Aperol liqueur and fresh lemon juice). Along with dinner, the Penthouse offers breakfast, lunch and a lounge menu.

Both the menu and the service are excellent at The Penthouse; the approachable staff goes out of their way to recommend dishes you might enjoy and check in on your experience.
