Nerds unite! Your Pi Day is here. On March 14, there will certainly be more than 3.14 ways to celebrate one of the most famous numbers ever. Wear your best Pi T-shirt, have a piece of pie exactly at 3:14 p.m., take three of your friends out to dinner or invite 14 of them over to the house for a movie. Your imagination, like Pi, is unending. Below is just a bit of inspiration.

Since Pi sounds like pie, what better way to celebrate Pi Day than by eating a delicious piece of the baked treat? And while you're at it, order from the Pi Bake Shop, a new and exciting bakery in Los Angeles. The bakery currently does not have a storefront, but you can still order your pie from the website in the meantime and it will be delivered to your home or office in the LA area.

You won't hear any of the characters recite the numbers of Pi, but doesn't it sound fun to celebrate Pi Day by watching "Life of Pi" while eating pie? This is an adventure–drama film based on the novel of the same name written by Yann Martel. The film won four Academy Awards, including one for Best Director.

Celebrate Pi Day by wearing something that says "Pi" on it. Follow the link above to see some of the T-shirts, totes and aprons that you could wear on this day. (You will see some pirate stuff too but that's for another day!) Your friends will recognize you as a true nerd if you go around wearing the first 100 digits of Pi on yourself. Most of the Los Angeles Pop Art Pi items cost less than $20.

You must be wondering what the Griffith Observatory has to do with Pi Day, but perhaps it is fitting to celebrate the most amazing number in mathematics by visiting the statue of one of the most amazing minds who ever lived – Albert Einstein. It just so happens that March 14 is also Einstein's birthday. On a bench within Griffith Observatory's Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater sits a life-size statue of Einstein looking up at his right index finger held up about a foot from his face. Since you're joining the nerdy ranks today, may as well celebrate the famous scientist at the mecca of astronomy in Los Angeles.
