This summer, the Orange County Fair will be bigger and better than ever before, and you and your whole family are invited to join in the festivities. From its humble beginnings in 1889, the almost month-long event now brings millions of visitors through its doors each summer.

A trip to the OC Fair isn’t complete without enjoying some good, old-fashioned fair food. A few brand-new items will hit the OC Fair this year, including Deep-Fried Birthday Cake and Deep-Fried Pizza from Apple Fries; Hotter-Than-The-Outback Dressing for your potatoes at Australian Battered Potatoes; Deep-Fried Coffee, Chocolate-Covered Pork Rinds, and Wasabi Bacon Bombs at Bacon A-Fair; Funnel Cake Burgers and Dogs at Juicys; and much more. Also new for 2015, fair-goers can taste their way through the Fair with the $2 Taste of Fair Food Fridays where select vendors will offer special $2 tastings in addition to their regular menu. Wine seminars and other culinary arts events are also available.

Inside this aviation style hangar, fairgoers will get to enjoy a variety of live acts, including music and other types of performances. Some of the top shows include Queen Nation, a tribute to the music of the queen, Dead Man’s Party, an Oingo Boingo tribute band, Ozomatli, Hotel California, a salute to the Eagles, Journey Unauthorized, a tribute to the music of Journey, Zeppelin Live, a live rock tribute to Zeppelin, Rumours, a Fleetwood Mac tribute show, Bee Gees Gold, a tribute to the Bee Gees and many more. Of course no fair would be complete without carnival rides and attractions. Offering a ton (literally) of attractions ranging in names from ‘Surf Shack,’ ‘G-Force,’ ‘Euroslide’ and ‘Alien Abduction’ to ‘Dizzy Dragon,’ and ‘Pirate’s Island’ there is sure to be something for everyone at the OC Fair.
Once you’ve gotten your fill of tasty food, and carnival rides, the OC Fair is offering a variety of vendors selling unique products ranging from health products to cookware.

5K Fun Run
August 7, 2016 at 8am
All members of the family are invited to lace up their sneakers for a 5K only the OC Fair could host on Sunday, August 7 at 8 am. Presented by the OC Marathon, participants receive a commemorative finisher’s medal, race t-shirt and a one-time entry to the OC Fair
The Courtyard Wine Seminars
Sample a variety of award-winning wines at the OC Fair provided by the OC Wine Society, Inc. Adults get to taste wines for a small cost.
A variety of promotions will be featured throughout the 2016 event including free admission during the opening hour of opening day (July 15, 2016 from noon to 1pm); We Care Wednesdays, where a variety of Orange County non-profits accept donations in lieu of admission; $2 Taste of Fair Food Thursdays and Kids Day Thursdays that allows free entry to kids 12 and under (and the chance to score the coveted unlimited ride wristband); Senior Days; and early admission discounts.
