Guide To The Best Events At LA Beer Week 2015
It's that time of year again! For a full week, LA Beer Week invades the Los Angeles area to residents that are more than welcoming. Founded just a few years ago in 2009 by a group of dedicated beer enthusiasts, the event is now in its seventh year and is put on by the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild, a non-profit organization made up of 25+ breweries dedicated to continuing the culture of LA beer.

Kicking off the festivities will be the official LA Brewers Beer Week Kickoff Festival which will feature more than 75 breweries, live music, entertainment, a big selection of some of LA's best food trucks, educational panel discussions, and of course, beer! Held at the famed Exposition Park, you must be 21 or older to attend and tickets can be purchased here.

It's hard to believe that MacLeod will only be celebrating it's 1st anniversary, as the wildly popular Van Nuys brewery already feels like a local institution. MacLeod will be pulling all the stops (and by stops, we mean cask handles) for their LA Beer week birthday bash which the brewery has described as a "caskapalooza." Expect multiple unpasteurized and unfiltered brews from MacLeod as well as cask offerings from other venerable local breweries.

That's right, one of Los Angeles's best craft beer bars will be partnering with one of Los Angeles's best craft breweries for what's sure to be an epic feast. The Slater's 50/50 beer dinner series is the ultimate beer and food extravaganza and the LA Beer Week menu planned in conjunction with Torrance's Smog City Brewing Company might just be the best yet. The biggest battle of 2015 is about to go down in Long Beach when San Francisco's Cellarmaker makes a rare L.A. appearance to battle hometown heroes Beachwood in a NorCal/SoCal showdown for west coast IPA supremacy. Local sour specialist Phantom Carriage will be getting some northwest love when Oregon sour specialist Cascade comes to town for a union of Kanye and Kim proportions.
