Q: Hi Lauren. Welcome to Defend Your Ride Los Angeles. What neighborhood do you live in and how old are you?
A: Santa Monica. I'm almost 32.
Q: What's your car's nickname?
A: We've tried Silver Bullet, but it's not really taking. I don't think it has a name because it hasn't spoken to me yet.
Q: What's your general feeling about driving in L.A.?
A: I hate driving in Los Angeles. I drive as little as possible. I basically stay around Santa Monica, that's about it. I don't really get on the freeway all that often. I'm here visiting some friends.
Q: What's your main purpose for your car if you primarily stay in Santa Monica?
A: That's a good question. I kind of want a GEM, like one of those electric cars like a golf cart, to get me around Santa Monica. I would only need this car to go visit friends far away!
Q: Could you tell me how you got your car?
A: When my husband and I moved here in 2008, we bought it used. Everybody I knew loved their Hondas. Then we went looking around. I test drove it. It was the right price. I love Hondas. I love my car. I wish I had it had a couple things like a sunroof, leather seat, and maybe an iPod dock, because I'm a little sick of the radio. But other than that, I love it.
