Orange County and its surrounding communities are celebrating LGBT month with festivals and events that are sure to delight. Take a look at some of these suggestions to honor diversity, love and pride within our community.

Date: Aug. 1, 2015 at 12pm to 10pm With more than 10,000 people in attendance in years past, the OC Pride LGBT Festival has made its mark in Orange County and is an event you won't want to miss. This year's theme is "Color Our World With Pride," in which the organization will celebrate "exciting changes, milestones and accomplishments in the name of LGBT rights." There will be an entertainment stage with several performance acts, a "dance tent" to cut loose in, and a "kids' club" that is family-friendly. Be on the lookout for the entertainment line-up that is set to be announced on the website.

Dates: June 12, 2015 from 6pm to 11pm; June 13, 2015 from 12pm to 12am; June 14, 2015 from 11am to 11pm Known as one of the largest LGBT pride celebrations, LA Pride is not to be missed. This year, pop star Kesha will be headlining the event, and other entertainers performing over the weekend include Tamar Braxton, Ana Barbara and Fifth Harmony. In addition to notable entertainers taking the stage, this year's event will offer free shuttles in which you can park your vehicle and shuttle to the party. Be sure to get your tickets for this popular festival here. Tickets are free for those active in the military and kids under 12.

Date: Oct. 17, 2015 Celebrated in Memorial Park in Pasadena, the San Gabriel Valley Pride event honors the LGBT community and is open to the public. San Gabriel Valley Pride is a non-profit organization that distinguishes themselves from "larger urban pride celebrations" with free entry and a family-friendly atmosphere. Join the organization's email list to stay posted on details regarding the San Gabriel Valley Pride celebration, as well as other events happening in the community.

North County Pride By The Beach

Date: Oct. 10, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy a day in the sun at North County Pride By The Beach as Oceanside celebrates its own pride event. The festival will take place in the streets of downtown Oceanside and will be free to the public. In 2014, attendance reached 4,000, so 2015's celebration is likely to be full of energy and enthusiasm. Traveling to and from the event will be made easier this year because North County Pride is working with Uber to provide safe, affordable transportation.
