Boasting clusters of scantily clad, lederhosen-laced ladies carrying massive glasses of amber rich suds, bratwurst and pretzels are battle your buzz for the celebration of the fall harvest. Old World Village in Huntington has long been home for one of the most epic Oktoberfest destinations in Southern California, with 2015 shaping up to be just as thirsty. Though the stigma of the tattoo has faded with just how mainstream the medium has become, the artform is very much at the heart of tattoo culture. For those that practice the craft, skin is a canvas, and every tattoo is another piece of work in a living catalog. That same reverence is on display for the latest exhibit at Las Laguna Gallery in South Orange County. A collection of nationally respect and locally established tattooers showcase their skill in a collection of work that all pays hoage to the timeless trade of applying permanent ink to skin. From the specific styles of tattooing to iconic images synonymous with the culture, the tattoo is a tradition that runs deep.
