Blackmarket Bakery
The Camp
2937 Bristol St.
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
(714) 662-3095

Known for her cookies and cookie sundaes, founder and Chef Rachel Klemek of Blackmarket Bakery brings her passion for baking and her love of eating cookies to the table. Named for the World War II black market baking goods of butter, flour, sugar and eggs, Blackmarket Bakery has a full lineup of cakes, cookies, pastries, tarts and brownies (made from wine flour). It’s hard to resist the temptation of tasting each cookie at Blackmarket, but that being said, a few to start with are the one toff cookie (salty toffee and dark chocolate), cinnamon snick (Chef Rachel’s take on a snickerdoodle), and coconut haystack (think coconut macaron and no flour added). Shortbread cookies including Caspian tea, pecan zesties and brown butter cocoa nib shorties are fantastic, and the bar cookie and sandwich assortments will make you go out of your mind (in a good way, of course).
