Inside the park, it's a great place to take the kids for a fun little trail ride through the park, or go for a romantic ride with your special someone. The Griffith Park trails are an exciting and safe experience, and as long as the kids are over 6-years-old, they can have their own horse. Beginners are welcome too, but they have horses for the more experienced rider, as well. Give them a call before showing up, but most days, they are happy to have riders to take the horses out. Will Rogers was one of the worlds greatest stars from the 1920's and 1930's. His humor and social commentary was unique to the performers of his time. Known as Oklahoma's favorite son, he made his fortune performing in Vaudville doing rope tricks and cracking jokes. In the area we know now as the Pacific Palasades, Will Rogers donated his huge estate where he had lived with his wife and children before his death in 1935.
