Winter season is not long off and in Los Angeles, that's a cause for a culinary celebration. Menu items switch from refreshing and light to rich and hearty. One all-time favorite cold weather dish is a big bowl of gumbo. Spicy sausage, fresh fish and vegetables packed in a savory broth is one way to stave off the winter blues and keep toasty warm. You can find gumbo pretty much anywhere in the city, but for a sure fire bowl of goodness, check out the places on this list.
