This boutique hotel is part of the stylish Kimpton group, a caring hotel company known to be extremely pet-friendly. This hotel literally welcomes your pet "unconditionally," stating there are no "size or weight restrictions or extra charges" that apply when including your pet during your visit. Inside the hot property, the furry member of your family will be privy to his or her own bed and to special food and water bowls to use during your stay. The Hotel Wilshire is another Kimpton Hotel, so expect your pooch to be pampered at this popular mid-Wilshire retreat. Not only will you be given a complimentary leash and as many plastic bags as necessary for long walks around this part of Los Angeles, but you'll also be gifted a VIP present. In this case, VIP means very important pet, with the gift being specifically aimed at making your furry friend comfortable in this hotel known for its extra special services (think rawhide bones and balls to catch). In addition, your pets are offered all sorts of perks, including grooming, walking, massage and acupuncture services arranged through the Wilshire's friendly concierge. Meanwhile, if you want to go out for the evening, the accommodating staff will be glad to come up with a baby sitter to watch over your special canine.

Langham Huntington Hotel
1401 S. Oak Knoll Ave.
Pasadena, CA 91106
(626) 585-6410
www.pasadena.langhamhotels.com

Pampered pooches of the tiny size (think the signature pup Paris Hilton carried around in her purse) are invited to enjoy the grandeur and grace of this legendary hotel located in handsome Pasadena. Some 23 acres beckon man, woman and beast together as couples are able to cavort on the scenic grounds and/or languish in the glamorous rooms. That said, be sure your pet is one who can behave while staying at such a rarified retreat and don't try to sneak in a St. Bernard because that breed is just too big to be a guest at the Huntington.

Hotel Bel-Air
701 Stone Canyon Road
Los Angeles, CA 90077
(310) 472-1211
www.dorchestercollection.com

Since the legendary Hotel Bel-Air is often chosen as a home-away-from-home for discerning guests who may be in town to do a movie or take part in a television show, the fact that pets are welcome is a big deal since stays can mean weeks and even months spent at this stunning property. With that in mind, if you decide to bring along your pet yet decide to leave your pup lingering back in your room while you dine at Wolfgang Puck's, be sure to ask for a doggie bag for any leftovers. That someone close to you who is waiting back in your bungalow will be happy you made the effort.
