Pearson Park & Pool – Anaheim

Pearson Park & Pool is a great multi-use destination. The spacious outdoor facility not only offers a friendly well-trained staff to oversee the beautiful outdoor pool, but much more. There is also a playground area, a duck pond, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and more. There are plenty of trees and nice places to walk and or jog. During the summer months, there are free open-air concerts at the onsite Pearson Park Amphitheater. Pearson Park & Pool is located at 400 N. Harbor Blvd, Anaheim. A great place to spend the day – Come alone or bring the kids.

Newport Beach Swimming

If you are serious about swimming, this is the place to go. There is an excellent training program, with lessons for all levels. Whether you are wanting to feel safer in the water, or if you are already a competitive swimmer, you will benefit from their specialized programs. Located at Newport Harbor High School, this is a beautiful setting and a great environment in which to increase your swimming skills. Group lessons and private lessons are available. Sunset Beach
Huntington Beach

One of the best things about life in Southern California is the close proximity to the ocean. Why not take advantage, by taking a dip in the ocean? Sunset Beach is a great spot for a relaxing swim and a beautiful sunset. Located just west of Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach provides a more calm and serene environment. A great destination if you are looking to avoid some of the hustle and bustle. From Huntington Beach, just head west on Pacific Coast Hwy for a few more miles.

The Brea Plunge

This gem is well worth checking out. Conveniently located in Old City Hall Park in the City of Brea, the Plunge offers recreational swimming, as well as a variety of options for organized public and private swim lessons for both children and adults. For those looking to get in shape, there are aqua aerobics classes available. For youngsters who are more serious about swimming, there is a Jr. Lifeguard program. The Plunge is located at 440 S. Knott’s Soak City Water Park

Located at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, this fantastically entertaining destination is only open during the summer months. Offering very reasonably priced season passes, this is a great option for keeping the kids entertained on a daily basis, for the entire summer. Instead of being parked in front of the TV, playing video games all day, they can get out and enjoy the sunshine while getting some good physical activity. Yes, it is a lot of fun for adults too !
