Through February 15, the Laguna Art Museum's upper level galleries are featuring California Rural, 1930s and 1940s, a collection of watercolor works representing rural California history. From the collection of Diane and E. Gene Crain, the works include both Northern and Southern California artists including Standish Backus, Rex Brandt, Tom Craig, Phil Dike, John Haley, Dong Kingman, Emil J. Kosa, Jr., and Maurice Logan, among many more who were all members of the California Water Color Society, which received numerous accolades and appreciation during its time and to this day.

Enjoy an evening of wine, tasty light bites, and a live cooking demonstration from acclaimed Chef Trey Foshee of George's at the Cove in La Jolla at Williams-Sonoma in South Coast Plaza. Chef Foshee will demo his signature Albacore Crudo with charred jalapeno, cucumber, pear, and yuzu kosho; Chino Farms Carrots with mint salsa, chipotle, crema, and quinoa; and Farrotto with roasted baby turnips and mushrooms. The ticket sales ($75) benefits the 2015 Bocuse d'Ore Team USA, comprised of Chef Philip Tessier and Commis Skylar Stover of The French Laudnry. The duo will compete against 24 other countries on behalf of USA at the Bocuse d'Or in Lyon, France.
