This year's AxS Festival features a wide variety of fascinating art features throughout the city of Pasadena, including the re-imagined Pasadena landmark, The Gamble House, designed by Machine Project, an LA-based arts collective. The history of this architectural icon will be revealed through experimental tours, nap concerts, a tableau vivant, puppets, dance, videos, and more. Daily performances and tours will be offered during the festival through October 5.

The Cutthroat Cocktail Bartender Competition takes place tonight at the Hotel Maya's outdoor Esplanade with contestants from Bo-Beau Rooftap Bar, The Federal Bar, EJ Malloy's, and Rocks Cocktail Lounge; Chef Rahm Fama, host of the Food Network's Meat & Potatoes will serve as emcee. Bartenders will battle it out for title and cash prize as they whip through three cocktail challenges and various sabotages.
