More than a dozen bars and restaurants in and on Hollywood Boulevard are participating in this year's Cinco de Mayo Hollywood Pub Crawl. After registering for the event at Outpost Hollywood, you and your friends can follow the map to some of the best drink specials in the area. Tickets start at $10/person, but group rates are available for friends looking to enjoy the evening together. Drink specials include $2 Cervezas, 2-for-1 margaritas, and $5 tequila shots. Amy Tan, author of "The Joy Luck Club", "The Kitchen God's Wife", and much more, will be discussing her life and her newest novel, "The Valley of Amazement," this Tuesday evening in Santa Monica. "Valley" follows the story of two women in their search for identity in China during the collapse of China's last imperial dynasty, the rise of the Republic of China, and the anti-foreign sentiment in Shanghai. Lisa See, the New York Times bestselling author will moderate the event. The reception begins at 6:30pm and the event is $20.

Noam Pikelny, preeminent banjoist, along with Gabe Witcher, fiddler and founding member of their group Punch Brothers, along with special guests will grace the stage of Largo at the Coronet this Wednesday evening. Pikelny has shared the stage with great musical artists such as The Decemberists, Marcus Mumford, Steve Martin, the LA Chamber Orchestra, and the Lincoln Center Chamber Orchestra. Punch Brothers has collaborated with Wilco, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, and Jon Brion. The show begins at 7pm and is just $30.

This Thursday, enjoy the Downtown Art Walk (offered every month on the 2nd Thursday). This free, self-guided tour of LA art galleries offers art lovers the chance to enjoy community, art studios, and special events. Located mostly in galleries on Spring and Main streets between 2nd and 9th, the evening also offers visitors the chance to enjoy local shopping, dining, and entertainment activities.

Prohibition is finally over for Chianina Steakhouse in Long Beach! The family owned Italian Steakhouse is celebrating with a 250 label international wine list and hand crafted cocktail menu. Upon entering the restaurant, guests will now pass through a wine rack holding 2,000 bottles of wine. The list, curated by Massimo Aronne, is the perfect complement to the delicious steaks and Italian dishes offered by Executive Chef David Coleman.

It's almost summer, Los Angeles, and you can celebrate with the opening weekend of Eat|See|Hear, LA's premier outdoor movie, food truck, and live music series. The 2014 series will screen a variety of films on its 52-foot wide inflatable HD movie screen including "Office Space," "Sixteen Candles," "Jaws," "Pitch Perfect," and more, offered at a variety of venues around Los Angeles. Kick off weekend will feature "(500) Days of Summer" in Santa Monica. Doors open at 5:30pm and admission is $10.
