Co-Founders Felena Hanson and Michelle Bergquist joined forces in the summer of 2009 to host a joint meeting with the respective organizations of Women's Global Network (WGN) and Connected Women of Influence (CWI). Keeping in mind that March is Women's History Month, the plan was to celebrate women's groups, clubs and organizations during that month. That was the birth of the Business Women's Mega Mixer and the event has raised more than $25,000 since its inception to help support three local non-profit organizations dedicated to helping local women in need.
