Weekly Parent and Me groups provide a supportive community for parents to learn about child development and parenting topics while bonding with their baby through age appropriate songs, toys and movement activities. PlayCreations Kids is different than other Mommy and Me classes in that classes are held at a host family's home all around the city, either in a building rec-room, backyard or living space. Each host family who decides to take on the event is responsible for finding 8-10 families that are interested in joining the class. Whoever hosts the event doesn't have to pay for the class either, giving them incentive to host these fun events. A variety of classes are held as well, including one of the most popular classes that has mixed media, art, and music for 5 months - 3 year olds. As the most popular class, this one is a fun mix of all different kinds of activities. They spend the first half of class engaging in music and movement, playing with instruments such as drums, xylaphones, and shakers as well as other props like a parachute, scarves and more. They then move on to working with art. All in all, it great for toddlers! There are other programs for kids aged 24-36 months, 18-36 months and more.
