Dance performances aren't always easy to find, even with the wide variety of dance forms. Still, if you're a fan of dance, you probably like to see it performed by the best available artists. Finding a good dance show at Segerstrom is no surprise. After all, this venue has 30 years of experience presenting world-renowned ballet shows. This show is something of an anniversary celebration for the center. This show features three premieres: Tristesse by Marcelo Gomes, Le Divertissement du Roi by Maxim Petrov, and Clay by Vladimir Varnava. If you're a fan of ballet, this is definitely an event you want to put on your calendar.

Chotto Desh tells the story of a man who wants to become a dancer and follows his journey from England to Bangladesh. This is a great story that just happens to be told through dance. Shanghai Acrobats isn't a traditional dance performance. However, there is a lot of choreography when this group does stunts in addition to juggling and spinning items. While it may not be a traditional dance show, this group does incorporate some traditional Chinese dances into its performance. This is a great show for the whole family to see some amazing things while experiencing a lesson in Chinese culture.

Every year, The Barclay hosts a gala that brings in stars from the world of ballet to perform in Irvine. This year marks the ninth edition of this event, and like previous years, it is sure to sell out. Among the performers this year are dancers from The American Ballet Theatre, Staatsballet Berlin and others. Seeing all of these artists on one stage is truly a treat for any fan of ballet.
