There are two things that can ruin the movie-going experience: high ticket prices and missing the movie while it's in the theater. Especially in Orange County, the prices can really put a dent in your wallet. With upgraded digital projection, the Brea Plaza 5 Cinemas offer a better experience for the customers. The theater plays older films, but gives the experience of being in a theater. Customers have also celebrated birthdays at this location by renting out a theater and enjoying a special happy birthday message on the marquee outside for an affordable price. The Tristone Cinemas matinee pricing for just a film showing is $3 and regular pricing is $3.75.

If you are looking to view some independent films, the Regency South Coast Village may be the place to go. During the summer, this theater also holds a series of classic films and foreign films. This location proves to be a great location because it is next to some of the best restaurants and stores in the Orange County area. The pricing for children and seniors is $7, matinees are $7.50 and general admission is $10.

If you are looking for a deal, this location poses to have one of the best deals in town. For only $2, you get regular admission and it's only $1 for the Tuesday special. It can get crowded on Tuesdays, so expect a line if you decide to go on that day. The theater offers 100 percent digital projection and shows 3D films. Located inside the mall, you can enjoy the food court and some shopping either before or after catching a movie.

Most discount theaters show only older films or films that have already been out on DVD. But with the Century Stadium 25 in Orange, you can enjoy newer releases, but at a cheaper price than other theaters in the Orange County area. Matinee prices are $6 every day of the week. Regular-priced tickets are a few dollars less than most of the other theaters playing the newest releases.
