It was back in 1995 that former gymnast Greg Glassman founded CrossFit in Santa Cruz, California. Since then, the popularity of the fitness methodology grew from 18 gyms in 2005 to more than 1,700 in 2010. With more gyms opening up in recent years, it is important to keep in mind that strength and conditioning found in CrossFit can promote an overall physical fitness that many are incorporating into their workout regiment. Here are some of the best CrossFit gyms in the Orange County area.

Located between John Wayne Airport and major junctions the 55 and the 405 freeways, this facility is located in the heart of Orange County. When signing up for this facility, the owners require new CrossFitters to complete a minimum of six On Ramp (introductory) classes in order to master form and technique before joining group classes. The facility does a great job in accommodating all levels and ages and scale the movements accordingly.
