Joan’s On Third is known for everything from great coffee to its signature short rib sandwich and great brunch food. But, one of the favorite orders on this menu is the Chinese chicken salad. Served in a tin bowl, you’d be hard pressed to walk around the restaurant and not find atleast one or two people eating it at all times. With a menu like Joan’s, it can be tough to select just one thing to order, as everything is delicious. But, those who have chosen to order the Chinese chicken salad seem to stick with it time after time. Whether you’re at the West Hollywood location or the Studio City location, the Chinese Chicken Salad comes with crispy wontons, shredded lettuce, sliced chicken, rice sticks and almonds. But, the real draw here is the creamy and one-of-a-kind dressing that’s unique to Joan’s. One thing is for sure: the Chinese Chicken salad here has a pretty loyal following.

Lucky for you and them, you can take home the dressing to help make your own version of the salad. Tender Greens has plenty of options on the menu to choose from that keep restaurant-goers coming back time and time again. One of the favorite selections of patrons of Tender Greens, the restaurant turned it up a notch by trying to make it different than the other competitors. California Chicken Cafe knows their chicken. While many opt to order chicken with sides like the Chinese cabbage salad, the hot potatoes or the squash, others swear by the wraps and salads. One salad that sticks out though is their Chinese chicken salad, which is arguably their most coveted menu selection for patrons. Featuring lettuce, white meat chicken, almonds, Chinese nodles, plain pasta, green onions, Mandarin oranges and carrots, it’s easily one of their most popular options for customers. What sets this one apart from others across the city is the inclusion of the pasta noodles, which gives it a sense of authenticity unique to CCC.
