Much more than a children’s bookstore, Once Upon A Time is a celebration of literature for kids with author book signings and festivals. With leading children’s book authors often in attendance, many of the books on the shelves have been signed. Since 1966, the owners have endeavored to build a relationship with the community and generations of children. The oldest children’s bookstore in the nation, as reported in Publisher’s Weekly, has now gone online as well. You can shop, browse and keep up with events by visiting www.onceuponatime.com. It’s a “magical place” with all of the services a chain bookstore has and as they say, there is “more to a bookstore than the books on the shelves.”
