Filled with a neighborhood like crowd, Pac City Brewery is low on the hipster level and it's probably because it's located in the Pacoima neighborhood of Los Angeles. Small batches of amazing ales await like a chocolate cherry stout and a smoked barley wine showcase the talent these brewers have. They also pay homage to their Mexican heritage with a number of original recipes.

This aptly named Los Angeles brew house, Smog City Brewing Co. is another must stop on the craft beer quest. Its minimalist warehouse tap room allows customers to view barrels and brewing equipment and offers a decently priced tasting tray of their year round brews and seasonal flavors. The tap room is a visual experience but the hours are limited. Fortunately you can find their popular beer at many bars. The Coffee Porter and  Sabre-Toothed Squirrel are the top choices.
