A nice place for a sunset walk, Huntington Beach also offers the option of walking out on the famed Huntington beach pier. From the pier, you can enjoy a gentle ocean breeze while watching boats sailing across the horizon as seagulls and pelicans glide gracefully on wind currents. There is also the allure of laid-back downtown Huntington beach, an atmosphere where many people just opt to walk around in swimwear. Although "Surf City" can become crowded at times, this is still a great place to spend a leisurely afternoon.

Located in close proximity to Huntington Beach, Seal Beach has plenty to offer. Not only are sunsets spectacular, but a walk through the town is a great experience as well. Like Huntington Beach, Seal Beach also has a pier which is open to the public and is a great place to walk along and enjoy a gentle ocean breeze on a sunny afternoon. Whether you choose to walk along the edge of the water, or through the town which has plenty of shade trees, you will not be disappointed. If you feel like really bonding with the local community, there is beach cleanup on the third Saturday of every month, from 9am to noon - It's always nice to give something back.

If a morning walk is what you prefer, this may be your best option. Known for being a very artsy community, Laguna also offers its historic shoreline bluffs which create some great photo ops. After a morning walk, one can stroll up the pathway to enjoy a breakfast at one of the many cafes which offer a great ocean view. After breakfast, enjoy the richness provided by one of the many fine art galleries located in the middle of town. Highway 133 into Laguna can be rather busy during special events, so do plan accordingly. It's well worth the trip.

Located in Capistrano Beach, just up the coast from Laguna beach, Doheny is not only a great place for a beach walk and nice sunset, but is also a popular spot for overnight camping. This has the potential for a nice romantic evening. After a nice sunset stroll, just come back to your campsite, uncork a bottle of wine and watch the stars. Check the calendar and possibly plan a trip for one of the many entertaining festivals held throughout the year. This can be a very unique and memorable experience.
