The beauty of craft beers is the story behind the beer itself when one is discovered and shared with others, giving it a certain flair of character. The quality of the beer itself speaks with one sip of flavorful hops that taste far better than some of the mass-produced 'beer water' that has made its way to the mainstream market. With the growing popularity of craft beers taking over taps everywhere, Los Angeles is nothing short on bars serving seasonal beer. Here are some of the best bars that rotate their beer menus on a regular basis, bringing you something new almost every week.

Bouzy Gastropub carries a limited selection of eight beers on tap, but there is always something new to try on a weekly basis when one keg runs out and is replaced by another. 'With the boom of local LA breweries, [Bouzy] likes to keeping as many on tap as possible, including Monkish Brewing Co., Strand Brewery, Brouwerij West and Golden Road as well as other California breweries like Ballast Point, Mission, Stone and Trumer, among others,' says one local insider. Located in the front room of its sister restaurant Chez Melange, Bouzy also carries a decent selection of bottled microbrews. The best part about Bouzy is the bar food, which consists of appetizers as upscale as the food served at its sister restaurant.

Santa Monica, CA 90401

The Craftsman carries beers specifically from breweries based in Los Angeles and California and rotates them on a weekly basis. 'I would say 80 percent of our beers are local. We also have a local seasonal rotating tap,' says managing partner John Grondorf. The beach-side lounge is only a year old, but the cozy, intimate vibe inspired by the days of prohibition make it well worth visiting. Originally called The Yard, the place got a huge makeover that traded in all the high tables for comfy couches and replaced the original color scheme with brighter colors to complement the area's beach culture. The best thing about The Craftsman is the fact that almost everything on its menu is made in-house, even the hot sauce.
