The Super Bowl is an event that draws viewers even if they are not big football fans. If you choose to go out instead of watch the game at home, there is no shortage of places you can go. You can even start your celebration early in the day if you like. Here are some of the best places in the county to catch the big game.

Patsy’s Irish Pub
28971 Golden Lantern St., Suite 108
Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
(949) 249-2604

Patsy’s is a great little neighborhood bar with a good selection of both beers and whiskeys (rightly so for an Irish pub). Televisions are stationed all over the bar, so you are assured to have a good view of at least one of them. Once the game is over, you can stick around and play pool or maybe even do some karaoke. Patsy’s gets a pretty lively crowd even when the big game isn’t on, so be sure to get there early if you plan to watch the Super Bowl.

The Corner Office Sports Bar and Grill
580 Anton Blvd., Suite 201
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
(714) 979-9922

One thing you’ll notice when you enter The Corner Office is that there is not a bad seat in the house. The other thing that you’ll notice immediately is the vast array of televisions in the place. This spot boasts 23 televisions so you can catch every minute of the action (and the halftime show) no matter where you are. This place also offers a very good menu. While you watch the game, you can get everything from appetizers to stir fry. Parking can be tricky around The Corner Office, so try to arrive early.

Danny K’s Billiards and Sports Bar
1096 N. Main St.
Orange, CA 92867
(714) 771-9706

When it comes to watching football in Orange County, there may not be a better place than Danny K’s. You’ll not only find televisions throughout the bar, but you’ll also find eight 14-foot HD screens. Think about that. You could get the same experience watching the Super Bowl as you get when you go to a movie theater. Danny K’s opens at 11 a.m. and has plenty of pool tables to keep you occupied both before and after the game.

Malarky’s Irish Pub
3011 Newport Blvd.
Newport Beach, CA 92663
(949) 675-2340

The motto at Malarky’s is a quote from Yeats: “There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met yet.” It doesn’t take long to figure out that the motto is observed by the patrons here. The atmosphere is very much like “Cheers” – a place where everyone knows your name or learns it pretty quickly. If you can’t wait to start your Super Bowl revelry, this is the place for you because it opens at 7:30 a.m. Also, once the game is over, you can take a stroll around Newport, which is never a bad thing to do.

Big’s Grill
323 N. State College Blvd.
Fullerton, CA 92831
(714) 526-4950

It doesn’t take long to realize that Big’s is a great place to watch sports. Behind the stage is a giant screen where you can enjoy the game. Of course, that’s not the only television in the place, just the biggest. Big’s boasts an excellent menu and a selection of 30 draft beers that you can enjoy while you watch the game. The parking lot here is pretty small, so you might have to search a little if you don’t find a spot in the lot.
