Hockey will probably never be as popular here in Southern California as it is in places like Minneapolis and Detroit. However, there are a lot of hockey fans in Orange County that take their sport very seriously. Visit any of these bars if you're looking to watch a hockey game with other knowledgeable fans but can't make it to a game.

It makes sense that JT Schimd's is a great place to watch a hockey game considering it is right across the street from the Honda Center where the Anaheim Ducks play. Fans here are enthusiastic about the hometown team, but they are also sophisticated enough that they won't start any trouble if a fan from an opposing team is here. Games are always prominently displayed. Plus, you can enjoy JT Schmid's own handcrafted beers on tap, and nothing goes with hockey quite like good, cold beer.

The OC Sports Grill also has 18 beers on tap that are kept cold with the Blizzard system. Once you come here, you may not want to watch sports anywhere else.

One of the things that makes a bar great for watching sports is the number of televisions. There should be enough screens that no matter where you sit, you have a good view of the game. Michael's has 37 screens, so you'll be in a good position to catch all of the action. This place also boasts more than pints of beer. Here you can get a pint, a 20-ounce beer or a 34-ounce mini pitcher. Also, during intermission or after the game, you can keep the hockey frame of mind with some air hockey.
