The Drawing Board provides a welcoming environment to hone artistic talents. Operated with the mindset that "no art can be wrong," The Drawing Board encourages creative freedom in a supportive environment. Children are able to study a broad range of art disciplines including printmaking, sculpture, painting, drawing, sewing and creative writing. Additionally, adults can join in the fun at The Drawing Board during the "Wine and Art" sessions.

Founded by the distinguished cartoonist, animator, producer, director and screenwriter Chuck Jones in 2000, the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity brings a touch of Hollywood to the OC. Kiddos can try their hand at mastering drawing cartoons, using pastels, creating dioramas and painting. Take a look at the various classes available on the website. If your child wants to check out an art class, but your budget is tight, you can take a free introductory class at Art Steps. Learn more about the free class on the website. Art Steps is a nurturing environment with professional instruction in pastels, colored pencils, graphite, markers, acrylic, oil and charcoal. The studio's philosophy consists of a five-step method. The first step is completing the introductory art class, next is learning about drawing and painting, then it is studying oil, next is working independently on a portfolio and the last step of the process is "Go Out and Shine" at an art school or in a professional artistic sector.

For nearly 40 years, Fine Art Studio has brought quality artistic instruction to the OC. Students can gain greater skills in watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils, gouache and graphic design in a small, intimate class setting. Classes last about an hour and are provided Monday through Friday. Private instruction is also offered if your child learns better one-on-one. Additionally, the Fine Art Studio has artists that specialize in graphic design, photography, drawing and painting if there's a specific project you want completed.
