From Long Beach to Thousand Oaks, celebrations will have you all over the city this week. Join a South Bay favorite eatery and a few L.A. Kings to celebrate their five year anniversary on Monday, followed the next day by a musical comedy at The Second City you won't want to miss. Conejo Valley Days makes its return this week on Wednesday with five days of rides, games, and live entertainment for the whole family. The week winds down with several great food and drink happenings, including a beer and wine pairing, dinner and jazz at LACMA, and a BBQ Classic where a new West Coast BBQ Pitmaster Champion will be crowned. End the week on a sweet note by celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day at one of L.A.'s favorite cookie spots.

South Bay eatery Manhattan Beach Post is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and wants you to come raise a glass with them and a few special guests, including the Los Angeles Kings mascot and ice crew. M.B. Post's favorites will be tray passed, including Truffle Honey Laced Fried Chicken, Stuffed Squash Blossoms, Housemade Lobster & Pork Dumplings, and more. A carving station, raw bar, cheese and charcuterie plates, and dessert will be served alongside the restaurant's signature craft cocktails, beer, and wine selection. Two sessions will be held for the evening, and both will feature an auction to win a private lunch at the restaurant with a member of the Los Angeles Kings and mascot, prepared by Chef David LeFevre. Your ticket (which you can snag here) includes unlimited food and drink, and a portion of the evening's proceeds and auction money will help raise funds for the Kings Care Foundation.

The world's largest school of improvisation and sketch comedy is excited to bring you their latest comedy musical, SciFology The Musical. An impressionable young woman meets a group of "SciFologists," who teach her the ins and outs of their wacky beliefs. As she falls in love with the group, one of the SciFologists falls for her, and an intervention by the intergalactic galaxy lordess forces her to decide who she will spend the rest of her days following. Along with the zany humor, expect original songs by award-winning composers in the style of Broadway, jazz, gospel, and pop. With a wide range of humor and musicality, this crazy show's got something for everyone. Tickets are just $10.

The western themed Conejo Valley Days festival begins tonight, and is celebrating their 60 year anniversary with food and fun. Throughout the five-day festival, guests will enjoy live music, carnival rides, themed evenings, and of course all the best in fair food. There's lots for kids to do as well, including hands-on exhibits and an arts and crafts area. As the largest all-volunteer festival on the west coast, the event's mission is to support the funding of over 30 non-profits. So grab your cowboy boots and have fun for a good cause.

Today marks the beginning of TART Restaurant's new weekly live music and burger pairing series, Red, White and Blues. Starting today and running every Thursday, Executive Chef Keith Shutta will pair either a Bacon Jam Burger or Brown Butter Mushroom Burger with its perfect "Red" match - a wine from the Burgundy region in France. Cozy up to one of the fire pits and enjoy "Blues" music out on the porch under the stars. Tonight's entertainment will be provided by saxophonist and flute soloist Wynell Montgomery from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Burger and wine pairings are $24, and available from 5:00pm until closing.
