LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles Chargers have hired a new head coach.

The NFL made the announcement in a tweet on Sunday night, saying Brandon Staley will be the team’s new head coach.

Staley, who began his coaching career in 2006 with Northern Illinois, was the Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator.

Staley is set to replace Anthony Lynn, who was fired earlier this month.
