FULLERTON (CBSLA) — A man who broke into a Fullerton pizza shop apparently couldn't resist temptation and made himself a pie during his heist.

Fullerton police shared surveillance video Friday of the unidentified man who they say broke into Big Slice Pizza Sunday morning.

"You've heard of the Hamburglar? Well, meet the Pizza Burglar!" Fullerton police wrote alongside the video.

The video showed the burglar in a gray hoodie and a baseball cap, wearing gloves for food safety, as he measured out and dough for a pizza of his own creation.

"Maybe he was hungry," said Big Slice manager Rafael Calles.

He said, while they can joke now, the man stole more than just a pizza. Police say he also stole the pizza shop's cash, tablets and delivery car.

Police said that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, but his name has not been released. Fortunately, police were able to recover some of the stolen items.

"Seventeen years in business, this is the first time it happened," Calles said. "For us, it's a big hit because we had to close the store, make a report..."

Calles said the burglar was in the shop for more than two hours.

"It's kind of funny, but we got hit and it's not nice," he said.
