SUV Slams Into Garage Of Eagle Rock Home Overnight

EAGLE ROCK (CBSLA) — It was a rude awakening for some people in Eagle Rock early Sunday morning. At around 2:30 a.m., an SUV slammed into the structure on Avenue 45 east of Eagle Rock Boulevard.

Authorities say the vehicle was heading down the street when it lost control, hopped a street curb, slamming into the garage and overturning.

The driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but officials say the driver was not under the influence. They do believe he was speeding, as he clearly didn't navigate the turn.

In addition to damaging the wall, the impact also damaged a car parked inside the garage.

No one was hurt inside the house.
