Former Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman Arrested In Beverly Hills On Suspicion Of Vandalism

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA) — New England Patriots receiver, Julian Edelman was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of vandalism in Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills police say the Super Bowl MVP was arrested around 9 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of N. Beverly Drive after he reportedly jumped onto a driver's stopped vehicle, causing damage. He was released after receiving a citation for misdemeanor vandalism and ordered to appear in court on April 13th.

Police told CBS2 reporter, Laurie Perez that he had appeared to have been drinking.

A photo posted by Paul Pierce on his Instagram account shortly before the arrest shows Edelman, Pierce and Detroit Lions receiver Danny Amendola at a Mexican restaurant shortly before the incident.

Edelman was expected at a celebrity softball game in Malibu on Sunday, but did not show up.

As of this posting, the New England Patriots have not commented.
