Natural Gas Line Rupture In Granada Hills Prompts Evacuation Of Nearby Homes

GRANADA HILLS (CBSLA) — The rupture of a high-pressure natural gas line prompted evacuations of nearby homes Wednesday afternoon.

The gas line was struck at 2:19 p.m. at 17000 west Westbury Drive.

The Los Angeles Fire Department evacuated nearby homes as the gas company worked to secure the leak.

No further information was immediately available.
