Magnitude 4 Earthquake Jolts Area Near Wildomar, Murrieta; No Reports Of Damage

MURRIETA (CBSLA) - An earthquake with a 4.0 magnitude rattled the Murrieta area Tuesday afternoon.

The quake struck about one mile east of Wildomar and four miles northwest of Murrieta, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

It was initially recorded at magnitude 3.9 before it was upgraded to a 4.0 quake shortly before 2:30 p.m.
