Brush Fire Forces 2-Lane Closure Of NB I-5 In Castaic

CASTAIC (CBSLA) — Two lanes of the northbound I-5 north of Templin Highway were closed Saturday as crews battled a brush fire.

The California Highway Patrol blocked the number three and number four lanes around 1 p.m. as firefighters battled a 150-acre blaze in Castaic. The so-called "Five Fire" was 50 percent contained as of 5 p.m.

It was not immediately clear when lanes would re-open.
