Authorities Investigate Fatal Deputy Involved Shooting In Menifee
MENIFEE (CBSLA) — Authorities on Sunday were investigating the circumstances surrounding a deadly deputy involved shooting in Menifee.
The incident unfolded around 6:30 a.m. at Menifee Road and Garland Lane following a reported carjacking.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department says one male adult died at the scene. City News Service was reporting that the deceased was the suspect, and not a deputy.
The incident remains under investigation.
Authorities said streets will remain closed while Central Homicide and Forensic technicians process the scene.
